Greg Ruthenbeck | About Me

Do research papers or products make a bigger impact? After 16 years working as an academic & researcher, I'm exchanging citations for sales to scale my impact via entrepreneurship.

Whether it's the natural world, or the tech that empowers us, a deep understanding has always provided deep insights and revealed interesting opportunities and challenges. I've specialised in software development for medical research and education applications including innovative surgical training simulations, and new tools that increase speed and remove limitations to amplify biomechanical analyses.

I love to create. I have extensive experience in 3D computer graphics, GPU programming, haptic interaction, and medical image processing, and all aspects of delivering university education and research. I enjoy learning & applying new technologies and creatively pushing the boundaries.

PhD in VR Surgical Simulation. Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Electrical & Electronic). Senior member of the IEEE. University lecturer of topics such as "Computer Graphics and Interactive Physics", "Haptic Enabled Systems", "Computer Programming 2 (C++)".
